Cecilia Piazzi was born in Trento on the 6 of december 1979. In 1996 she enrolled at the International School of Violin Making in Cremona, where she graduated in 2000 under the guidance of Maestro Giorgio Scolari. After the school she develops its own techniques work for four years attending the workshop of Maestro Stefano Trabucchi. In 2004 she opened her workshop in Via Porta Marzia 7, with the master G. Zanetti. Since 2010 she makes violins, violas and cellos in via Febbraio 11 in Cremona. She is inspired by the classical Cremonese violin school using mainly Stradivarian models. To carry out her instruments she use Balkan maple and the resonance spruce of Val di Fiemme. On each instruments there is author's fire stamp and it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
